1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Wish 2 Goal at wish2goal.app("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Wish 2 Goal is a wishlist application that allows registered users ("Owners") to create and manage wishlists with items, and share them with others ("Guests") via unique links. Guests can view shared wishlists and reserve items in "surprise mode" — reservations are hidden from the Owner to preserve the surprise element of gift-giving.

The Service may also include optional AI-powered features (such as automatic item extraction from text) and image search integrations.

3. Accounts & Registration

To create and manage wishlists, you must sign in using a supported authentication provider (Google, Facebook, or email magic link). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account.

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • You may not share your account or use another person's account without permission.
  • You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Guests do not need an account. Guest interactions are tracked via an anonymous cookie-based token that contains no personal information.

4. User Content

"User Content" means any text, images, links, or other materials you upload, post, or create through the Service, including wishlist names, item descriptions, and images.

  • Ownership: You retain all rights to your User Content. We do not claim ownership over anything you create.
  • License: By posting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and your shared recipients. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
  • Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the rights to post the content you upload and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or obscene
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any code designed to harm or disrupt
  • Infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission
  • Use the Service for spam, phishing, or commercial solicitation
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

6. Image Uploads

You may upload images to your wishlist items. Images are subject to the following:

  • Maximum file size: 10 MB per image
  • Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
  • Images are stored securely and accessible only via time-limited signed URLs
  • You must have the rights to upload any image you submit
  • Inappropriate or offensive images will be removed

7. Shared Wishlists & Guest Access

When you share a wishlist, anyone with the share link can view the wishlist and its items. You are responsible for managing who has access to your share links.

  • Share links provide view-only access — guests cannot edit your wishlist
  • Guest item reservations are hidden from the Owner ("surprise mode")
  • You can regenerate your share link at any time, which invalidates the previous link
  • Do not share wishlists containing sensitive or private information that you do not want others to see

8. AI & Third-Party Features

The Service may offer optional AI-powered features (e.g., extracting wishlist items from text using OpenAI) and third-party integrations (e.g., image search via Unsplash).

  • AI features process text you provide; input is sent to OpenAI and is not stored by us beyond the request
  • AI-generated results may be inaccurate — always review before saving
  • Third-party image search results are subject to the respective provider's terms and licensing
  • We are not responsible for the output quality or availability of third-party services

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you agree to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding (excluding User Content), is owned by Wish 2 Goal and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

11. Service Availability & Changes

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability
  • Change features, functionality, or limits without prior notice

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes when possible.

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all your wishlists, items, images, and associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will attempt to notify you when possible, but reserve the right to act immediately in cases of severe violations.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Any content or data you store will not be lost or corrupted
  • AI-generated results will be accurate or complete

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wish 2 Goal and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wish 2 Goal, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable national law where the operator is established, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the operator's jurisdiction.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
